- You will be responsible for the maintenance and installation of exhibits, most often, during non-public hours.
- You will help develop and execute regularly recurring planned maintenance schedules.
- You will perform corrective maintenance and repairs as needed, including hands-on work with exhibit materials such as paint, vinyl lettering, plexiglas, metal, wood, fiber board, etc.
- You will assist with the transportation of artifacts and exhibit components via vehicles, forklifts, and man-lifts as needed.
- You will manage, track, store, and properly dispose of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.

QualificationsGS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that includes assisting with maintaining exhibit display and with the transportation of artifacts, and tracking exhibits maintenance and corrective issues needed.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate maintaining a master tracking system for exhibit repairs and maintenance; touching-up paint and maintaining exhibits; and managing a HazMat program.

GS-05:Successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a major study such as illustrative design, commercial art, fine arts, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, or other fields related to the position.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position involves lifting, stooping, climbing and carrying. The incumbent routinely lifts objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
