    The primary purpose of this position is to to provide planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to USAFWC/JA. To provide a wide range of military justice, general and administrative law service for the United States Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) and Nellis AFB.

    • Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of USAFWC/JA.
    • Ensures that the Military Justice Division, Acquisition Law Division, Labor Law Division, Environmental Law and the Civil Law Divisions comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
    • Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
    • Represents USAFWC/JA with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
    • Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Civil Law Division, ensuring that the division complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
    • Communicates with higher headquarters and the General Counsel.
    • In the absence of the Staff Judge Advocate, or as delegated by the Staff Judge Advocate, communicates with or responds to inquiries emanating from higher headquarters (e.g.,) ACC/JA, AF/JA) and the General Counsel Office.
    • Reviews courts-martial cases and writes Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) pre-trial advice and post-trial SJA recommendations on courts-marital cases before action by the General or Special Courts-Martial Convening Authorities.
