SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government. You must meet ALL of the following: Experience in foreign investment or trade issues that affect U.S. industries; developing strategies and policies involving complex issues and implementing a detailed work program while working within mandatory (i.e., statutory) or strict deadlines; briefing Senior Agency officials, orally and in writing, from the Deputy Assistant Secretary level up to the Deputy Secretary level and their related staff; proven experience advocating for and working with private sector organizations/external government agencies to develop a consensus position.
Substitution of education for specialized experience is not applicable to this vacancy.
