As a Geographic Information System Specialist for the Division of Resources Services, you will perform the following duties:

(1) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must show that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-09). Examples: intermediate level work experience with a variety of geospatial technologies including GIS, GPS, and remote sensing as well as knowledge of industry standard data management practices. Ensure your resume highlights specific experience working with raster, image, and 3D data formats, multiple sensors, and multiple acquisition platforms (such as Unmanned Aerial Systems, Satellite, Terrestrial, and Traditional Aerial). Additionally, your resume must show previous experience working with Esri’s suite of products, server and desktop for the management, analysis, and publication of raster-based data including the use of Mosaic Datasets and embedded analysis functions.
(2) EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree –OR- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree –OR- LL.M. Graduate level education is creditable only if it provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the GIS duties described in this announcement.
(3) COMBINING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: You may meet qualifications requirement for this position by combining specialized experience and appropriate graduate education. The total of the two percentages must equal at least 100 percent.
