    The NCI, MIP is seeking an exceptional Research Veterinary Medical Officer with expertise in comparative oncology and molecular imaging research, with an emphasis on cancer drug and imaging agent development, through the design and execution of clinical trials involving naturally occurring canine cancers.

    Plan, design and oversee the implementation and execution of in vitro and in vivo research experiments using advanced PET, MRI and 13C-MRI Hyperpolarized MRI Imaging.
    Develop novel molecular molecular imaging methods to track the impact of metabolically-targeted drugs.
    Design, implement and oversee clinical trials conducted on canines with cancer.
    Establish and foster collaborative relationships, lead discussions, and make decisions regarding scientific aspects of clinical trials in conjunction with study sponsors.
    Direct a translational research program focused on canine cancers, including bench laboratory efforts and developing clinical protocols.
    Plan, design and oversee in vitro and in vivo research studies, which focus on metabolism in osteosarcoma and targeting metastatic progression.
    Provide oversight, mentorship and review of progress for research projects.
