Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the grade 14 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing and directing the work of a professional staff while developing institutional readiness to perform and/or carryout resolution functions in the resolving of failed large and complex financial institutions (LCFI).
Large, complex financial institutions may be defined as financial intermediaries engaged in some combination of commercial banking, investment banking, asset management and insurance, whose failure poses a systemic risk or externality to the financial system as a whole. These risks are intertwined among both insured and uninsured subsidiaries, and the largest and most complex of these companies often have global footprints and interdependent counterparty relationships with one another that increase their complexity and risk.

The range of pay shown includes base pay plus supplemental locality adjustments. The locality rates for these duty locations range from a low of 25.86% to a high of 35.52%.
