    Duties: The incumbent will work closely with staff members within project team and group in order to achieve mutual objectives and goals. Develop methods and promote standards for evaluation, testing, and improvement of technologies. Design, develop, and implement computer programs and/or hardware solutions for projects. Document progress and results.

    NIST currently has a Student Internship opportunity under the Pathways program located in the Information Technology Laboratory. There are specific technical areas of interest: information retrieval, natural language processing, web design, machine translation, signal processing, networking, network security, machine learning, big data analysis, high performance computing, image analytics, data-driven models, software assurance, digital forensics, and biometrics.
