    Summary

    This vacancy announcement will be open from September 6-17, 2018 or when 250 applications have been received. The incumbent of this position is a Veterans Innovation Partnership (VIP) Fellow.  The VIP Fellowship is a one-year temporary excepted service appointment, which is not eligible of being converted into a competitive appointment.  The initiative is a strategic approach to helping the men and women who served in the military find employment in the Federal Government.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviews existing policies, issuance, and directives on an ad hoc basis as substantive issues arise in the course of assignments and recommends refinements to these guidelines.
    • Represents the Bureau at meetings and conferences, typically as an observer, as directed by his/her supervisor or higher level manager.
    • Supports higher graded analysts by independently conducting assigned segments of projects involving development, implementation, or monitoring of sophisticated management information systems that focus on the Bureau's progress.
    • Participates in the implementation of specifically assigned management programs impacting the Bureau. Conducts assigned segments of studies of conventional problems in program implementation at the operational level.
