    This is a term position not to exceed two years and may be extended two years.

    This is an episodic, intermittent position, on an irregular or occasional basis with hours and days of work not on a prearranged schedule and with compensation for the actual time employed or for service rendered.

    Responsibilities

    1. Verify that the body of the deceased is the body to be autopsied, and makes all arrangements to schedule the autopsy to include all necessary documentation, authorization and records.
    2. Convey observations to Pathologist or Physician observed on body or organs; remove and maintain specimens for proper storage.
    3. Assist Pathologist or Physician to perform autopsy (i.e) incision, closing, tissue samples, organ samples.
    4. Maintain proper assembly and routing of specimens for laboratory study; assist in collection of specimens to include DNA sampling.
