A Dental Chief must have knowledge in dentistry to administer dental treatment to include evaluations, prophylaxis, radiographs, dental health education, fluoride treatments, sealants, composite and amalgam restorations, crowns, extracations, some endodontic and simple periodontal procedures. Staff dentist will provide clinical guidance including patient treatment, four-handed dentistry, infection control, OSHA guidelines, x-rays and oral health education.

The Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS) is a consolidated health care system that includes VA Medical Centers in Montgomery and Tuskegee Alabama as well as Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Dothan Alabama, Ft. Rucker Alabama, Monroeville, Alabama, Columbus Georgia and Montgomery VA Clinic. The primary duty station for this position is at the Montgomery or Tuskegee Campus. The incumbent will be required to work on site at the other locations as required.
