    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Environmental Specialist with project management,
    execution, and operations responsibility in assigned project(s) within a program element.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides extensive environmental expertise to support Hazardous Materials Operation Plan (HMOP) and monitors compliance of HAZMART through interactive communication and inspection.
    • Responsible for executing assigned environmental programs (i.e. solid waste), in-house and by contract, to comply with applicable Federal, state, and local environmental laws and policies.
    • Leads and directs the Hazardous Materials Management Team (HMMP) in administering the functions and responsibilities of the Installation HMMP Charter to comply with all applicable Federal, state, and local environmental laws and policies.
    • Coordinates curricula and training for assigned program areas at the installation.
    • Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures, and performs work that enhances the safety of the work environment.
