The Disaster Services Specialist facilitates the Corporation's disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation programming. Serves as an on-site coordinator for the Agency's response to Federal, state and local emergency situations. If you are qualifying based on education alone, you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education or LL.M., if related leading to such a degree. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work. You must submit an unofficial copy of your college transcript. You must submit evidence that any education completed in a foreign institution is equivalent to U.S. educational standards and that you have the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. This Term Appointment will initially be for a two-year period, but may be extended for a total of five years. Should the need arise, this position may be made permanent without further competition.
