A vacancy exists within Patient Business Service at the Dayton VAMC. This position is responsible for carrying out a variety of health information functions. The incumbent performs duties related to the receipt, scanning, indexing, and transfer of health and administrative information. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administrative Support:
- Determines Veteran eligibility status for Beneficiary Travel mileage reimbursement and completing travel payment vouchers.
- Responds to patient needs.
- Responsible for timely and accurate receipt of patient telephone contacts.
- Scanning and Indexing:
- Carries out a variety of health information functions.
- Performs duties related to the receipt, scanning, indexing, and transfer of health and administrative information.
- Responsible for disposition of documents when established records are unavailable.
- Maintains a daily productivity log of scanning and indexing activities and provides to the supervisor.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Part-time, 39 hours per week.
