Performs a variety of routine HR activities related to the recruitment of the Bureau's Foreign Service positions. Reviews applications to ensure candidates meet advertised qualification, provides pre-employment information and assistance to successful candidates who passed the written and oral assessments, reviews applicant eQIP submissions and paperwork to ensure everything is properly filled out prior to releasing to the Personnel Security and Suitability office.
Drafts non-technical responses to applicant inquiries pertaining to the application and pre-employment processes. Assists the HR Specialist with preparing a variety of personnel actions for new Special Agent employees.
Serves as the travel arranger for the office. Researches methods of travel and prepares cost constructs to identify the best cost travel method. .Provides guidance on the automated travel management system. Researches and interprets travel regulations to answer traveler questions.
Travels with the examination team to various cities throughout the United States, serving as the specialist who is managing all administrative aspects to include greeting and briefing the candidate on the written exercise, entering the assessments scores into the database.
