You will:
You need a degree or combination of education and experience as described below to qualify for this position.
You must have a LL.B or J.D. degree from a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association.
In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as having experience in, or some combination of litigation (civil, criminal, or commercial), judicial clerkship, providing legal advice to agencies or clients in private practice, government contracts (Federal Acquisition Regulation) or grants, administrative law, or suspension and debarment; drafting or reviewing legal memoranda, legal opinions, or other legal documents; interacting with clients, other attorneys, investigators, prosecutors, agency representatives, or other stakeholders in performing their legal functions. , AND a LL.B OR J.D. with superior law student work.
Qualified applicants must be graduates of an accredited law school, be current member of a state bar, have demonstrable environmental experience as described above. Salary will be in the GS-14 level, and commensurate with experience.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
