    Responsibilities

    The incumbent works independently as a team member under the supervision of a Supervisory Contract Specialist. The purpose of this position is to provide contracting support to designated programs/projects. Duties include having a working understanding of contract methods, unilateral and bilateral modifications, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Research & Development procurement. Prepare contract structure, contract types, market research, option exercise and request for proposals, increase in scope modifications, cost and price analysis, basic ordering agreement orders, business clearance, justification and approval, acquisition plans, acquisition strategy reports and competitive negotiations. Prepares a variety of office materials, such as solicitation documents, analytical reports and official letters, and assist the contract office with the administration of contracts.
