    Responsibilities

    This position is a licensed physician, board certified/eligible in Ophthalmology, who can function as a full-time independent practitioner and professional team member within the surgery department at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

    -Provides a variety of services including ophthalmology consult/referral review and triage, assistance in coordination of and provision of ophthalmology eye clinics using the principles of advanced clinical access, pre-operative assessment, treatment interventions; to include surgical, and consultative services for other providers within the area of specialization.

    -Assists other surgical providers within their scope of practice and credentialing.

    -Provides coverage for after-hours ophthalmic emergencies at the Cheyenne VA.

    -As a member of the Medical Executive Staff and Operative and Invasive workgroup, the physician helps to ensure the delivery of safe and peer reviewed specialty and surgical care.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
