    Responsibilities

    As a Technical Acquisition Program Manager at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Plans, coordinates, integrates, implements, and evaluates the use of acquisition programs in the broad area of Chemical and Biological Defense.
    • Employs technical expertise to translate scientific information into required programmatic and fiscal documentation to support the planning, programming, budgeting and execution system.
    • Supports the Department mission in acquisition of chemical and biological defense research and development.
    • Assesses and defines technical requirements, resolves critical problems, facilitates communication with all stakeholders, manages program interaction, and ensures accomplishment of scientific and technical program goals.
    • Employs scientific and technical knowledge, methods and techniques to identify, propose and implement solutions to management problems associated with difficult and unprecedented program issues that are difficult to foresee and which are scrutinized through a number of reviews at senior agency levels (DOD, other federal agencies, Congress and international organizations).
