This is a full-time position with the Office of Information Technology. The Court uses current technology for its server environment, including virtualization technologies and fiber channel storage area networks. The selected candidate will be working with a highly skilled and motivated team of server administrators. The server administration department is responsible for the server hardware, base operating system, and some base applications.

Under the guidance of management, the selected candidate will monitor, maintain, and perform upgrades of the hardware, software, and operating system of the equipment under the scope of the Server Administration department. The selected candidate will participate in the rotating after-hours support which involves responding to Tier 1 escalations and automated server alerts as needed to keep systems operational and available. Perform upgrades of existing technology and installation of new technologies. Occasional travel may be required to attend training classes, conferences and the other local locations that house server administration equipment. Technologies include Microsoft Windows, Fiber Channel storage area networks; VMWARE virtualization (including desktop infrastructure) and fault tolerant rack mount server hardware.
A four-year college degree in computer science or similar technical degree is required. Equivalent professional experience in server administration may be substituted for the education requirement.
