    The VALLHCS is actively seeking a qualified gastroenterologist. The Section of Gastroenterology at VALLHCS is highly productive and features state-of the-art endoscopy equipment, an outstanding clinical research program and informatics. If hired, the applicant will join a team providing compassionate healthcare to our veterans with a wide range of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Responsibilities

    The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS) is a Joint Commission accredited, referral level 1b/high complexity, facility serving veterans in San Bernardino, Riverside and Inyo Counties (Inland Empire) which encompasses over 35,000 square miles.
    We are recruiting to add a gastroenterologist to our expanding team who is interested in. We are looking for gastroenterologists who are interested in general gastroenterology, non-pancreatobiliary advanced endoscopy, capsule endoscopy and small bowel endoscopy. ERCP/EUS is a plus but not required. Successful candidates will participate in providing consultative and endoscopic services in the inpatient and outpatient setting.

    In addition, the applicant will be involved in the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students. The applicant will be expected to work in developing a faculty practice base with the other gastroenterologists and serve as both clinic and service attending. There are multiple opportunities for clinical investigation and there is excellent support in for clinical investigation.
    The appropriate candidate is a personable individual who can work independently within the framework of a large group and who has strong clinical, endoscopic and interpersonal skills.

    Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, (May be required to work evenings or weekends as a 24/7 Full-Time Physician)
