This position is in the Research and Promotion Division (RPD) of the Agricultural Marketing Service’s (AMS) Livestock and Poultry Program (LP), which carries out the development and oversight of research and promotion (R&P) programs created to maintain and expand markets for agricultural commodities. You will impact regulations, compliance actions and critical communications that serve agricultural producers, handlers and others in the marketing chain that are regulated under an R&P program, and the general public, as well as meeting the needs of RPD, LP Agency, and USDA leadership. These include all matters that fall within the Federal statutes and regulations that are assigned to the Division by the Agency. These matters are national in scope, with strong international impact in a wide range of instances.
Salary Information: First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the lowest rate of the salary range for the grade selected.
