This Police Service position is located in the Department of Veterans Affairs Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS), which includes Fort Meade, Rapid City, Hot Springs, and Community Based Outreach Clinics associated with VA BHHCS. The primary duties of the Security Clerk (Dispatcher) include, but are not limited to, providing voice and data communication services to the VA BHHCS Police Service. The Security Clerk (Dispatcher) is responsible for maintaining communications and the flow of voice radio traffic among police units operating on patrol. This position will also assist with the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process.
Location: Police Service Line, Fort Meade, South Dakota, VA Black Hills Health Care System
Work Schedule: Full time, 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period. Regular tour will be 6 AM to 2:30 PM but may include some nights and weekends.

The Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) and Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) provide eligible displaced Federal/VA competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
