Incumbent will prepare and bake a variety of pizzas from prepared ingredients. Performs tasks such as grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, French fries, etc., by watching while the items are cooking, turning as required; regulating temperature and removing when done. Incumbent duties may include packaging food for off-premise consumption or serves for on premise consumption. Operates and uses bake and holding ovens, pizza makers, slicers, fryers and miscellaneous kitchen utensils. Use of cash register and cash handling to include turning in change fund daily with receipts. Maintain concept environment, equipment, utensils and surfaces in a sanitary clean and neat condition. Incumbent responsibilities may include scraping and pre-rinsing dishes, glasses and flatware for washing. Separates food waste and trash. Loads dishes into the dishwasher; hand washes dishes. Stacks and stores clean dishes. Scrapes, cleans, scrubs, washes or wipes ranges, ovens, fryers and urns. Cuts, scrapes, chops, dices or peels fruit and vegetables. Removes soiled dishes, glasses and flatware from tables and carries to the dish washing area. Cleans tables or paper, other trash or soiled linens and wipes clean tables. Performs other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of National Agency Check (NACI) background check with written inquiries. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate. Must be able to use simple kitchen equipment and use common utensils. Must be able to operate a cash register. Must be able to follow food recipes and combine ingredients for pizza, salads, and other menu items. Work involves light to moderate physical effort such as frequently lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds, constantly standing and walking, and occasionally lifting up to 45 pounds.
Must be able to follow recipes and combine ingredients for plain or fancy salad and other cooked dishes. Incumbent must have skills to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment in the performance of sequential tasks. Simple arithmetic and ability to read instructions as required. A working knowledge of common sanitation procedures to prevent contamination required. Must be able to use simple kitchen equipment and utensils. Incumbent must be Knowledgeable and have the skills to relate inventory levels to purchasing requirements. Incumbent must understand food storage and sanitation requirements. Must be able to operate a cash register.
