This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board. The incumbent serves as an Associate General Counsel and as such, assists the General Counsel in advising and rendering legal, policy, and technical services to the DNFSB.
The Office is responsible for: conducting hearings, investigations, and litigation; reviewing all DNFSB documents for legal sufficiency; ensuring compliance with applicable laws including, but not limited to, the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 (as amended) and Administration and DNFSB policies; reviewing and reporting on legislative matters; training and continuing legal education for DNFSB attorneys, office support personnel, and DNFSB staff; and responding to and resolving all general legal matters. The OGC is also responsible for all matters related to alternative dispute resolution including, but not limited to, work place disputes.
