This position will be the supervisor of the High Voltage Unit and Elevator Unit in the Electric Shop, Plant Division, and is responsible for the development, maintenance and utilization of a work force capable of meeting all aspects of installation, inspection, maintenance, repair, and modification of all high voltage systems (including associated feeders and equipment), 32 elevators, cranes, monorails, overhead power doors, 70-ton special concrete doors for radiation shielding, and all other types of mechanical hoisting machines.
The employee will receive and review work authorizations in many forms and then be responsible for coordinating with other jobs and assigning duties to specific craftsmen. The employee will also provide consultation to engineering personnel for modifications in the preventive maintenance program, system design, equipment and procedures. Applies National Electric Code (NEC) regulations to all maintenance and installation tasks.
As a first level supervisor, this position is responsible for employee performance evaluations, award recommendations, disciplinary actions and leave approval.
