Account Executives: Understand and evaluate new developments in the market place that could have a potential impact on the business and search for opportunities to enhance business practices to adapt to market changes; Provide recommendations to management on adjusting the business strategy to adapt to changing market conditions; Ensure that all policies and procedures are properly observed, all transactions are conducted with authorized personnel, all records and contracts are complete and up to date, and all customer position limits/risk tolerances are observed; Participate in team discussions, assist in the preparation of technical reports for management, represent the Office in discussions with key stakeholders, and provide lender profiles/summaries; Deliver accurate and timely loan and property level information to the various deal stakeholders such as rating agencies, trustees, special servicers, and bondholders.
Single Family Housing Specialists: Perform duties related to Single Family mortgage insurance programs for the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) through policy and procedural guidance to apply and/or oversee Departmental requirements and local real estate laws and practices. Single Family Housing Specialists may participate in or direct conferences or training of developers, appraisers, inspectors, architects, Direct Endorsement (DE) underwriters, mortgagee personnel, state entities, non-profit organizations, counseling agencies, and various real estate organizations, with regard to HUD FHA requirements and procedures, and to administering the Secretarial priorities; or perform quality assurance lender monitoring duties applying FHA program rules, lender underwriting and monitoring or servicing and lender audit reviews.
Underwriters: Perform reviews of the property appraisal to determine the appropriate HUD estimate of value for proposed construction, existing construction, or substantial rehabilitation; make determinations of credit eligibility of the potential borrower; determine the acceptability of the mortgage for insurance and classification of risk inherent in the mortgage and authorizes the endorsement of the loan and the issuance of the mortgage insurance certificate binding the agency to the commitment through Mortgage Insurance Funds; Monitor Underwriter and Lender Activities.
Portfolio Management Specialists - Review and analyze current and historic financial data; Serve as an asset manager for complex property portfolios for agency-owned and/or leased assets for region, acting as a liaison, advisor, and representative on sensitive and complex issues, and providing advisory assistance developing solutions to complex Property Management problems; analyze current Public Housing Authority data, track performance trends and compliance issues, and generate appropriate work products; Conduct and review Risk Analysis assessments with pertinent staff to assure a performance oriented approach to the correction of problems.
