    This position is located in the Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH), Office of Field Operations (OFO). PIH’s mission is to provide low-income families affordable housing opportunities as they transition to self-sufficiency and homeownership. PIH oversees the administration of HUD’s Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Section 8 Rental Assistance, and Native American Programs through a staff of Headquarters and Field employees. The field structure for PIH consists of 29 Hub Offices and 16 Program Centers that provide oversight, direct monitoring, and coordination for approximately 4,200 public housing authorities.

    Responsibilities

    As a Director, Coordination and Compliance Division, you will:
    --Lead a staff consisting of the analysts, program managers and a Program Assistant. As such, the Division Director provides administrative and technical supervision of assigned staff including-evaluating subordinate staff; hearing and resolving group grievances; reviewing and approving disciplinary actions; managing travel, staff and equipment resources; providing training for staff; and ensuring the agency's Affirmative Action Plan is met.

    --Manage contract assistance and technical assistance provision in the field. Monitor compliance efforts of PHAs and field procedures to improve compliance and analyzes data for Headquarters.

    --Coordinate activities impacting field workload including the review of field office resource utilization and organizational structure to effectively monitor directives carried out by the field.
