    Summary

    This position can be filled as a Pharmacy Technician or an LPN. LPNs must apply under Announcement CAZT- 10232639-18-CAB-410.

    THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS OPEN AND CONTINUOUS. Qualified applicants may be referred as early as 6/21/18 after which, names will be pulled every two weeks until all positions are filled. Applications received after the1st cut-off date will be considered for the 2nd cut-off, etc. until the closing date of the announcement or as vacancies are filled/become available.

    Responsibilities

    The position's primary duties will be to triage and take action as appropriate on telephone requests
    from all pharmacy customers including Veterans, caregivers, nurses, providers, and external
    customers such as nursing homes. They must process patient's requests appropriately, applying
    knowledge of pharmacy practice, VA regulations, and hospital procedure, seeking assistance from
    clinical sta?? for urgent concerns. To assure that patients receive quality care in a timely fashion, the
    pharmacy technician must maintain a working knowledge of all pharmacy systems and processes.
    Possibility of commute between duty stations on an occasional basis. Valid state issued drivers
    license required.
