    About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Directorate for Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health.

    This is an standing register announcement that will have a cut-off every 14 days. The next cut off will be February 1, 2019. This announcement will remain open until the positions are filled. In the event that all positions are filled, the announcement will be closed.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an expert in the field of Child Psychiatry and perform duties as a practitioner and consultant in Child Psychaitry.
    • Provide the full range of psychiatric care, treatment and services for child and adolescent patients at all levels of complexity.
    • Provide routine, complex and emergency behavioral health care for a variety of emotional, psychological, and behavioral disorders to child and adolescent patients.
    • Exercise sound clinical judgment in establishing evaluation techniques, developing treatment and rehabilitation plans and providing appropriate therapeutic treatment services to child and adolescent patients.
    • Provide professional consultation, education, and collaborative medical support to other professional staff, multi-disciplinary team members and non-behavioral health medical providers.
    • As assigned, provide supervision of residents, medical students and allied health professionals.
