The incumbent serves as an International Broadcaster for the Thai Service, performing a variety of broadcasting assignments. These assignments include: translating/adapting a significant proportion of English language scripts into Thai; announcing or voicing of broadcast materials in Thai; and occasionally conducting interviews and preparing original material.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
~Translates/adapts a significant proportion of English language scripts into Thai.
~Announces/voices, either directly on-the-air or by pre-recording, materials broadcast by the service for radio and TV. Hosts programs.
~Occasionally researches information and writes continuity for programs or original scripts on less-complicated subjects or according to assigned specifications.
~Participates in the development of regularly scheduled radio or TV programming and materials for the Thai Service's web page, as well as social media platforms. Assists with posting materials on website and social media. Contributes to other projects to increase program efficiency and effectiveness.
~As assigned, covers news and feature stories and gathers background material and interviews.
~As assigned, produces live/pre-recorded airshow segments and/or satellite feeds.
