    THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

    This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (F-22), Position Description Number D1444000 and is part of the HI 154 MXS, National Guard.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

    LOCATION: 154th Maintenance Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii

    RECRUITMENT AREA 1: Present enlisted members (E8 [immediately promotable to E9] to E9) who possess AFSC 2AXXX or 2WXXX of the Hawaii Air National Guard

    Responsibilities

    SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The primary purpose is to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities within one of three major work functions (Aircraft Generation Division, and the Equipment Maintenance and the Component Repair Branches of the Aircraft Maintenance Division.

    • Planning: Plans the overall allocation of personnel, funding and equipment resourcesto the organizational segments supervised to accomplish work operations which, because of their scope, volume, complexity, operational tempo, and total force integration must be planned on an annual or longer basis.
    • Work Direction: Coordinates and directs the work of units supervised.
    • Administration: Recommends promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors andreviews personnel actions prepared by them.
    • Implements safety regulatory requirements.
    • Prepares for and participates in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections,mobilization and command support exercises, and Operations Other Than War (OOTW).
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
