The perioperative Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of the surgical team that works closely with patients, surgeons and anesthesia staff in the surgical setting, leading the interdisciplinary team and implementing care in accordance with VHA Directives, hospital policies and national protocols. OR RNs are responsible for maintaining safe and effective care in the perioperative arena. Core elements of performance include knowledge in clinical, technical and procedural competencies, as well as building knowledge for the perioperative nursing profession.
Work Schedule: 8-hour tours Monday thru Friday, 11:00 to 19:30 or 09:00 to 17:30 tours of duty.
