    The Air Platform Systems Engineering Division provides the people, processes, and facilities needed by Integrated Program Teams (IPT), Externally Directed Teams (EDT), and Enterprise Teams (EI) to perform overall technical work, planning, development of technical team structure and team composition alternatives, systems requirements management, configuration baseline management, risk management, and technical performance measurement and tracking across a broad spectrum of scientific and engineering disciplines to achieve an integrated, balanced total system that meets cost, schedule, and performance objectives in Naval Aviation's unique operating environment over the entire rife cycle. The division provides Assistant Program Managers for Systems Engineering (APMSE) and project engineers that are assigned to teams and execute systems engineering tasks.

    • You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation (e.g., Operational Requirements, Systems Concept Paper), providing input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensuring engineering requirements are met.
    • You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
    • You will recommends revised operational requirements or design concepts as required
    • You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs.
    • You will maintain knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems and demands upon the system (s) and provides overall technical planning for development, engineering, and evaluation of programs.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position approximately 3-5 days per month
