Except in special circumstances, those new to the federal government will be hired at the starting salary (step 1) of the applicable grade range listed above.
-Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities over the Physical Security and Preparedness Branch. Serve as first-line supervisor for a staff of security specialists, technical and administrative staff. Oversee the daily operations of the Branch; plan Branch operations; schedule, track and evaluate the performance of staff.
-Be responsible for the development of national policy and management of all stages of the EPA Personnel Access and Security System (EPASS) badge life-cycle in accordance with federal requirements.
-Be responsible for the overall planning, evaluating and supervising the work of staff.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
Occasional travel - 1-5 days per month.
