The Office of Security plans, administers, and monitors all security programs on a Bureau-wide basis. The mission of the Office of Security is to provide 24 hours of continuous protection of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where our Nation's currency, stamps and other securities are produced and also to safeguard its employees, visitors and tourists by controlling, screening and monitoring access to all Bureau property and entrances. Preparedness Program Additionally, the Office of Security is entrusted to provide security support to all Bureau components by developing, expounding and enforcing Bureau security policies, procedures, standards and departmental regulations. The Office of Security develops and implements security-oriented policies and procedures at Washington and at the Western Currency Facility.
As a Security Officer, you will:
- Plan, administer, and monitor all security programs on a Bureau-wide basis.
- Formulate strategic plans, goals, policies and procedures for OS office operations, and all units across both facilities of the Bureau.
- Administer and coordinate the Bureau's Emergency Preparedness Program.
- Receive and dispatch top security information and conduct an annual inventory of top secret material.
