    About the Position: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, Directorate of Contracting located in Fort Worth, TX.
    This is an open-continuous announcement and will be used to fill vacant positions. Referral lists may be requested to fill vacant positions throughout the life of the announcement.     Responsibilities

    You will serve as contract specialist responsible for pre-award and post-award actions, including price/cost analysis, negotiation, and administration for services, construction, supply and Architect-Engineer (A-E) requirements associated with Civil Works and Military funded projects, and work for others. The major duties are, but not limited to:

    • Reviews requests for procurement of special or complex items and equipment, extensive technical services and/or unique constructions.
    • Prepares solicitation/amendment documents incorporating provisions such as cost accounting standards, cost or pricing data, special testing requirements, Government furnished property, and payment provisions as required.
    • Performs cost/price analysis, determines acceptability of technical proposals, conducts reward surveys to determine responsibility of prospective contractor.
    • Responsible for contract management on assigned contracts during the postaward phase of the procurement cycle.
    • Monitors contractor performance through verbal conversations, correspondence, reports review of payment vouchers, and periodic visits to the contractor's facility or work site.
    • Other duties as assigned.
