As a Nursing Assistant in the Medical/Surgical Unit at the Fort Meade campus of the VA Black Hills Health Care System in South Dakota, you will perform a wide range or patient personal care, diagnostic services, treatment and charting activities on a regular and continuing basis. You will deliver safe and individualized nursing care on patients with multiple complex needs. He/she provides care that addresses physical, emotional, rehabilitative and spiritual needs or veterans. Tasks include meeting the needs of the veteran's personal hygiene needs, physical comfort, nutrition, elimination and prevention of skin breakdown and assisting the nurses with treatments. He/she should be familiar with multitasking and prioritizing duties.
Work Schedule: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Mix of days, nights, weekend and holidays. 8 and 12 hour shifts available.
