    This is a term position not to exceed two years and may be extended two years.

    This is an episodic, intermittent position, on an irregular or occasional basis with hours and days of work not on a prearranged schedule and with compensation for the actual time employed or for service rendered.

    Responsibilities

    1. Support medical operations within deployed missions by providing technical assistance and medical consultation.
    2. Communicate with Emergency Management Group to ensure coordination of medical care and define scope of care to be provided at each mission.
    3. Advise clinicians on medical practice issues; provide medical input on complex disaster decisions on crisis standards of care, allocation of scarce resources and emergency medical service.
    4. Participate in meetings to provide information, updates and reporting throughout responses (i.e. assess trends, investigative reports of field issues, and utilization trends).

    Travel Required

    76% or greater - 95% Domestic and 5% international travel.
