The Deputy for Procurement Management, Policy & Performance Excellence position is located in the Office of Acquisition Management (OAM), Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Secretary for Administration (CFO/ASA), Office of the Secretary (OS).
This position is responsible for the functional leadership, management and oversight of department-wide procurement and grants programs, including the acquisition of major systems, supplies and services, planning, grants and cooperative agreements, and competitive sourcing activities. The selectee will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of broad policies, standards, and procedures for the acquisition and procurement programs and systems responsible for products and services throughout the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC).

The selectee will provide support to the Director for the Office of Acquisition Management in carrying out OAM program activities under the Service Acquisition Reform Act of 2004 (SARA), the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Federal Procurement Policy Act, and in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget Circular A-76 (Revised). The selectee will also be responsible for the Department's efficiency/effectiveness initiatives with competitive sourcing, contracting and grants management on behalf of the Director.
These duties may include (but are not limited to):
