The Marion, Illinois VA Medical Center is currently seeking three full-time board
certified/board eligible physicians to join the Surgical Service for the position of Urologist. Two of the positions will be working at the Marion, IL facility and the third position will work at the Evansville Health Care Center (EHCC), Evansville, IN.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Incumbent duties will include diagnosing, treating and managing patients with urological diseases per standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques in the outpatient setting.
Other services include, but are not limited to: treatment of genitourinary medical conditions, performing outpatient surgical procedures, provide consultations, work ups and pre-& postoperative care.
The Urologist will establish professional working relationships with other clinical service providers within the center and outlying Community Base Outpatient Clinics (CBOCS), providing telephone and e-consultations, consultations as needed and screening consults that are received for appropriateness prior to scheduling.
He/she will report to the Chief, Surgery Service or her designee. Specialists and other physicians are available for consultation.
The Urologist shall be expected to cooperate with and participate in medical duties or functions related to quality of care, peer review, improvement and with other performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief, Surgery Service and the Chief of Staff.

Annual leave shall accrue for full-time physicians at the rate of 26 days per leave year (1 day per pay period).
