QualificationsTo qualify for GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to: Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; Plan and organize work; and Communicate effectively orally and in writing. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work that demonstrated knowledge of the line, staff, and analytical work in one of the fields of distribution facilities and storage management, inventory management, packaging, and cataloging.
To qualify for GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate that you have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent private or public sector experience demonstrating knowledge of the line, staff, and analytical work in one of the fields of distribution facilities and storage management, inventory management, packaging, and cataloging. Related activities include such areas as supply program management, procurement, and data processing in support of supply operations. Examples of creditable specialized experience includes: 1) Perform data maintenance on items of supply within an automated information system; 2) Interpreting supply operating methods or procedures in order to provide services or assist in resolving supply problems; 3) Applying instructions for supply actions such as data entry, report retrieval and searching for records.

Education substitute for experience to qualify for GS-05 - Successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree OR have a combination of education and experience that equates to one year of experience.
