    This is an excepted service appointment under the Department of Justice Pathways Internship Program. After successful completion of the program requirements, the individual may, at agency discretion, be converted to a term or permanent appointment. An intern converted to a term appointment may be subsequently converted non-competitively into a permanent competitive service position before the term expires.

    This internship is expected to continue through the spring and fall semesters. Applicants solely seeking summer internships should look for other opportunities.

    This position is located within the International Training Financial Management group (ITFM), which is responsible for the
    overall financial management, monitoring, and reporting, for both the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) and the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT). ITFM
    falls under the Office of Administration within the Department of Justice's Criminal Division.

    • Assist in producing a variety of reports, track actions, produce charts, and create specialized databases;
    • Prepare invoices for payment;
    • Track data in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets;
    • Run daily reports;
    • Research and analyze data, issues, and information that support project recommendations or the work assignments of Financial Management Analysts;
    • Perform reconciliations; and
    • Research regulations and other pertinent directives to provide recommendations to Financial Management Analysts.
