    Responsibilities

    Joining the Customs and Board Protection Office of Congressional Affairs will allow you to use your technical and administrative expertise to achieve the offices goals.This position starts at a salary of $56,233 (GS-09, Step 1) to $73,105 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $73,105.00 (GS-09, Step 10).

    Additionally you will be a fellow member of the Office of Congressional Affairs team and perform the following typical work assignements:

    • Receiving telephone calls from Members of Congress and their staff on issues concerning the agency, including admissibility, trusted traveler programs, lawful trade, human resources;
    • Relieving the AC and DAC of unnecessary interruptions and demands on his or her time by handling administrative, programmatic, or technical issues;
    • Managing the OCA Taskings e-mail box;
    • Coordinating the calendars of the AC and the DAC; and,
    • Making travel arrangements as needed.
