ABOUT THE JOB: We are looking for great talent with the flexibility to work on an "on call" basis with no set, recurring schedule. If selected, you will serve as a Test Administrator for the Administrative Law Judge Program Office (ALJPO) for the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) examination. We are looking for people with demonstrated integrity/honesty; attention to detail; teamwork; interpersonal skills; flexibility; stress tolerance; ability to closely follow set procedures, guidelines, and instructions; and ability to present information orally to individuals and groups. The ALJPO plans, operates, and directs the recruitment, examination, and employment of ALJs for approximately 30 Federal agencies.
As a ALJ Test Administrator at the GS-4 with a full performance level of GS-4, you will be part of HRS HR Strategy and Evaluation Solutions, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for conducting on-site, proctored testing of the Administrative Law Judge examination. You will notify senior staff of unusual testing situations, make adjustments and document situations; provide IT support including setup and breakdown of laptops; maintain inventory control and accountability of test materials; distribute, collect and sort test materials; conduct quality control checks for completion of forms; perform a variety of tasks such as: prepare, receive, review, and verify documents; maintain official records; locate and compile data or information; escort applicants to test rooms; and update and file applicant materials; photocopy, fax, and file documents; key-enter and review test scores in an automated system.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The workday requires long periods of standing, walking, and sitting, and may extend beyond an 8-hour workday. Overtime will be authorized, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Transit Benefit Subsidy: Up to $255 per month for public transportation or vanpool costs to commute to/from home and work.
WORK SCHEDULE: These positions are permanent with a strictly "on call" work schedule with no set, recurring schedule.You will not be guaranteed a minimum number of hours in any given week. You will receive advance notification of assignments and work schedules according to the ALJ examination schedules and ALJPO workload and priorities.
