As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for formulates plans, documents, coordinates, and oversees all technical aspects of multiple concurrent IT and IT related projects within programs, including defining and coordinating all technical IT aspects of information system requirements to support strategic goals and operational objectives, while also ensuring technical information systems architecture is designed and operated in a reliable, compliant, and
cost-effective manner.

MAJOR DUTIES:
Reviews customer issues, program goals and objectives, work processes, functional operations, etc. and independently develops complex technical IT system plans and recommendations to improve IT support to customers; Works with the system user community to design, develop enhancements and customizations, and troubleshoot problems; Serves as technical liaison with the contract staff and customer service, providing day-to-day operational support; Serves as an expert in the information technology (IT) field, performing development and enhancement of complex, sensitive, high-level IT work characterized by an exceptional degree of difficulty and responsibility. Provides expert IT technical solutions (include requirement analysis, software development , design & test ) on a wide range of IT issues regarding the software development, maintenance, enhancements, and operations for several mission critical systems and other business support applications to ensure the integration of IT services and to develop solutions to interoperability issues; Provides hands-on technical support to business users of the system to optimize use of the application to support business process, enhancement of the systems. Keeps abreast of new IT developments in hardware, software, emerging technologies, data management, security, and operating systems technology in an effort to provide advice on and devise IT solutions for a wide range of customer needs and demands; develop and interpret policies; to provide expert technical advice and guidance on critical IT issues; and to apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems, and; Translates unique customer IT requirements into innovative, integrated, workable solutions. Ensures technology applications in use and/or being proposed address both current and future business requirements and recommends how to apply, extend, enhance or optimize the existing IT systems, programs, services and equipment. Ability to define requirements at all levels (tech, data, business).
