    About the Position: Directs an academic medical library program in a highly complex environment to provide responsive information services to the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School with support to HQ Medical Command, Brooke Army Medical Center, and other medical activities assigned to Fort Sam Houston.

    • Plan, direct, and assign work to subordinates based on priorities and deadlines, giving consideration to the difficulty and requirements of the assignment and the capabilities of employees.
    • Resolve complaints and initiate action to correct performance or conduct problems and prepare documentation to support action taken.
    • Develop and justify budget and acquisitions.
    • Establish procurement processes to ensure appropriate accountability for library acquisitions.
    • Implement and monitor interlibrary loan policies and cooperative arrangements with participating institutions.
