This announcement provides the opportunity for a reassignment/promotion to fill our Audit Manager or Program Analysis Manager (Audit Evaluator Manager) for Human Capital in the Transportation group in Arlington, VA. Transportation performs nationwide reviews that address strategic and tactical focus areas and risks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations. The candidate will supervise the activities of staff engaged in audit planning, research, and the engagement and reporting processes.
This position is being advertised at the Manager Band level, equivalent to a GS-14. The salary range for this position is $121,001 - $155,378. The salary figures include locality pay.

Responsibilities include the day-to-day managing and monitoring of journey band staff in the directorate, and collaborating with management and staff to ensure effective and continuous progress towards stated organizational and directorate goals and professional growth.
The Human Capital Manager will serve as administrative manager for all directorate subordinates; monitor and document staff performance to include performance evaluations writeups and discussions with input from operational managers and AICs; identify and address staff performance and behavior issues; collaborate with operational managers and directors on the staffing of projects; identify and review developmental and training needs with subordinates to include developing and monitoring IDPs; assist with recruitment efforts, including reviewing vacancy announcements for accuracy and interviewing applicants; conduct succession planning; and perform budget and contracting activities for the directorate.
