As Supervisory Foreign Affairs Specialist, you will:
Provide guidance, leadership and direction to staff for all programs and activities as well as technical support to the Director of the Office of Nuclear Material Removal (NA-232) for the management of the implementation of the NNSA’s activities related to the efforts to remove, eliminate and minimize the use of proliferation-sensitive materials;
Oversee all project managers within assigned areas/office to ensure proper and consistent application of M3 policies and President’s highly enriched uranium (HEU) and plutonium minimization strategies, for project, scope, schedule, and cost management and funds accountability (e.g. PMP); monitors and assesses scope, schedule, cost, travel and technical performance for all projects within assigned areas/office;
Oversee and coordinates all threat reduction efforts within assigned areas/office ensures proper and consistent application of M3 convert, remove, and dispose prioritization methodologies and technical standards described in M3 guidance and policy documents (e.g. Protection and Sustainability Criteria); President’s highly enriched uranium (HEU) and plutonium minimization strategies;
Develop and implement innovative and creative solutions to improve cost effectiveness and mitigate risk; ensures proper security procedures area followed at all times in implementing M3 activities.
