    This is a term position not to exceed two years and may be extended two years.

    This is an episodic, intermittent position, on an irregular or occasional basis with hours and days of work not on a prearranged schedule and with compensation for the actual time employed or for service rendered.

    Responsibilities

    1. Identifies potential human remains and preserves items of potential evidentiary value at a disaster/death scene.
    2. Gathers information to aid in determining the identity of victims, cause and manner of death.
    3. Works with personnel at hospitals, clinic, morgues and the disaster site to ensure steps are taken to preserve items and evidence.
    4. Compiles all investigative facts along with toxicology studies, weather studies, autopsy reports, and scene and interview records for legal documentation.
