This position is located at Health Promotions. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Health Promotions Director for MCCS.
Plans, supervises, and administers a health promotion program for MCCS. The health promotion program centers on promoting healthy lifestyles by identifying potential health risks and devising strategies that cultivate healthier lifestyles and behavior alternatives. Performs analysis, and evaluates candidates for tobacco cessation and provides stress management guidance. Conducts clinics, seminars and individual counseling to educate serviced community on a variety of topics such as tobacco prevention and cessation, physical activity, injury prevention, chronic disease prevention, weight management, and nutrition education and dietary supplements. Responsible for meeting established goals and effectively managing the resources of assigned programs.
Supervises Health Education Technicians in the performance of primary duties such as coordinating, conducting, and evaluating all Semper Fit Health Promotion programs through such avenues as screenings, briefs, classes, health fairs, and one-on-one counseling.
Maintains supervisory control over volunteers, regular full-time/f1exible-time employees, contractors (massage therapists, dieticians, etc.), instructors and aides. Provides guidance and instructions to subordinates, and resolves minor grievances.
Evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing program activities from the standpoint of resource allocation, unanticipated developments, and program efficiency. Develops specialized programs and annual budgets. Determines the serviceability of specialized equipment. Coordinates the procurement of program supplies; identifies transportation and space requirements; and oversees various other aspects of daily operations that inherently promote organizational objectives.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
